Flower and Vegetable Gardens

Several gardens of both perennial and annual flowers accent the property. Perennials include roses, Stella d'Ora lillies, lunaria, lupines, poppies, bellflowers, giant red lobelia, blanket flower, coreopsis, chrysanthemum, wisteria, butterfly bushes, lilacs, and more. One hillside is covered with irises.
     Vegetables grow in a raised garden, 16x30 feet in size, and another garden space is devoted to strawberries. The two apple trees produced 40 pounds of nearly perfect fruit this year. All gardens have been amended with (literally) truck-loads of well-cured compost and are irrigated by an underground drip-hose system.
